Five Easy Ways to Simplify Your Home Life:
1. In the morning when the family is running through the house trying to get out on time the following tid bits will help you for the rest of the day.
- Make sure the dishes are put away after breakfast
- Have each person make their bed and put their PJ's and or dirty clothes away.
- If someone took something out have them put it away before they leave.
- Push in the chairs at the table.
- Turn off coffee pot.
- Scan the main rooms in the house before you leave, you will then not have to come home to areas that need to be clean up.
2. When the mail comes go through the mail and make piles for urgency matter.
- Bills that need to be paid
- Advertisements
- Magazines
- Junk
3. In your home office don't keep piles!
- Working folders
- Items that need to be done now
- Next weeks items to be worked on
- School papers to keep.
- Pictures to be put away
- Company bills and papers
- This way with working folders if you need to get at the papers you will have them in front of you all together and there will be no need for searching around for missing items.
4. At the end of the day when people are coming back home have one designated area for kids to do homework and projects (quiet and calming).
5. All items such as backpacks, briefcases and jackets should either be stored in a closet for just those items or go to respected areas in the house for each person. This way in the morning no one will be searching for morning items.
